About Me
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Sophie!
I am originally from London, England but moved to Oregon three years ago to be closer to my husband Adam’s family. More recently, we moved back to Southern Oregon from Vancouver WA to care for Adam’s amazing grandmother.
We now live in the Twin Creeks neighborhood of Central Point and absolutely love it here. I love to walk and keep active so there’s a good chance you’ve seen me walking around the area or playing pickleball (badly)!
If you live nearby and happen to see me, please say hello! I am excited to make new friends here and become a part of the Twin Creeks community.

My Experience
I am a caregiver with over 15 years of experience working with people of all ages with varied levels of physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. I started my career in 2007 working in a residential care home for children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities. From this, I went on to work with clients in their own homes, including elderly and palliative care.
Through these roles over the years, I have gained extensive care experience including the use of mobility aids such as hoists, walkers, and wheelchairs, enteral feeding, ostomy care, medication management, and elder care.
Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honors) in Midwifery which requires a foundational understanding of medical and nursing skills in the UK.
I am certified for adult, child, and infant CPR, AED, and First Aid.
Things I Love
I have always been a carer and animal lover at heart. In fact, the first thing I ever wanted to be was a veterinarian and as a child, I once opted for a family vacation at a local working farm over a trip to Disneyworld! I have also become the neighborhood dogwalker everywhere I’ve lived.
After earning my degree, I decided to travel before beginning my career as a midwife in England. This is when I discovered my two other passions in life; travel and photography. That summer abroad turned into 10 years of nonstop exploration!
That is also when I met my now-husband, Adam, who was also traveling independently with a camera always in hand. The two of us met in Australia and traveled together from then on, making our way as professional photographers and travel bloggers for the past 8 years.
Our time on the go came to an end as we realized there was one thing we loved and missed more than travel and photography – family. We are excited to begin the next chapter of our lives by settling down near his family while we look to extend our own. 😉
